About Marsha Dimes
Marsha Dimes is the founder of Marsha & Friends Drag Brunch, a charity drag event that has raised over $300,000 for North Texas LGBTQ+ organizations since 2017. Alongside her glittering squad of do-gooder drag performers - the Sisters-in-Action - Marsha has turned sequins into service. Her virtual shows during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic brought in over $29,000 for relief efforts.
Marsha is also the Founder and Cruise Director for Big Fabulous Cruise, an LGBTQ+ inclusive group cruise experience featuring exclusive shows, themed events, and, naturally, plenty of Marsha & Friends.
Since making her drag debut in 2008, Marsha has received honors from Equality Texas, Prism Health North Texas, and the Turtle Creek Chorale. In 2019, she was selected as Grand Marshal for the Dallas Pride parade. She also hosted and helped produce Dallas Pride’s signature events and festivals from 2020 to 2022. In 2019, she became the first drag queen to speak at the Association of Fundraising Professionals International Conference, with her session “Don’t Be a Drag. Just Be a Queen: How to Rule with LGBTQ+ Donors.”
Marsha proudly won the title of Miss Big Thickette 2018 by raising the most money - though some attendees are still in therapy after her dramatic rendition of “I Am What I Am.”
She is available for private events and fundraisers and always brings the glamor, humor, and heart.
